Left Hand Doesn't Know What Right Hand Is Doing

I settled my Discovery credit card with Firstrand Bank on 23 October 2012, sent the proof of payment through, and received acknowledgement. Subsequently I continued to receive harassing e-mails from their attorneys, Groenewald, Lubbe, Inc. of Randburg, and responded to each with the proof of payment.

More than a year later I have now been summoned to appear in court or to pay the outstanding amount plus interest to date. This is a clear case either highlighting the incompetence of the bank and its attorneys, or their predatory practices in harassing consumers with intimidation.
