And now? you waiting until my 90 day period to appeal is over??? after the second assessor came out I was told that the claims manager Gulam will be calling me. I AM STILL WAITING. This claims department and useless product/benefit that thousands of customers has is useless and they know that they do not pay claims. They need to tell people that they only pay once the entire roof has blown off, which does not happen in Cape Town! I just had my roof replaced for over R20 000 and that is only the roof, I must replace ceilings, floors and paint! I will be going ahead with Ombud on this, this product is a cash cow and they know it... If my structural insurance was with Santam like my short term is, Santam would have paid for the resultant damage and settle me with an ex gratia as they understand the customer and not only take our premiums. Standard Bank can also settle an ex gratia payment if they so wish but they would probably not! I will be taking this benefit to Santam and I will make it my duty to notify the media about this benefit that many are paying for and will never have a claim for. Before replying to me please check my previous report before wasting my time.
