In a Nutshell:
1. Took up a vehicle insurance policy with Miway for two vehicles in April 2012 (Premium at that stage R 1410-82)
2. Noticed in July 2013, that my premiums had Increased, despite the value of the vehicles de-creasing. (Premiums now increased to R 1573-18)
3. on 29 July, I contacted your call centre, requesting a reduced premium. The premium was slightly adjusted, but "We cannot do anything further for you, as a result of the increased prices of Body Repair Shops" (Premium reduced to approx R 1450, STILL more than premiums payable a year ago)
4. I subsequently got quotes from your competitors, and have exactly the same benefits from another company (Actually, greatly reduced excesses etc) for R 1005-00 per month.
5. Am trying to cancel my policy with yourselves unsuccesfully. 30 July 2013, On Hold for 12:39, costs me R 26.06. Short call on 1 Aug and 2 Aug, 6 Aug on hold for 7:29, costs me R 15.42. 6 Aug on hold for 11:19, costs me R23.31, 8 Aug on hold for 8:58, costs me R 18.47.
6. On each of these days, "We have no agents available that can cancel your policy, leave a message, we'll call you back". (8 mssgs total)
Please advise as to successful cancellation
