I lodged a water/burst pipe claim on the 24/12/2012 with Absa Insurance under my Acc: 6523893045 and Claim Number 2306339 was assigned. I payed the required excess amount of R500 and then the assessment was done in the premises by December and the leak was detected and fixed. However the damage caused by the leak was not fixed (wall re-plaster, tiles, paint work). This is causing a health hazard due to the mould that is growing and the smell left by the leak. The contractor by the name of Lebala Labasadi was appointed to do the job, however the job has not been done. I have been calling Absa daily and none of the consultants have ever called me back to give update of the situation. I want Absa to either send a contractor urgently to resolve my problem or compensate me so I can look for my own contractor.
