I have a saving/investment account with Old Mutual since the year 2009 and now I am trying to withdraw funds from this account. Old Mutual is giving me a run-around and no one is available to assist me.
I called them but they couldn't help me because i have to go to the branch - i don't agree with that but it's ok. I go to the branch in Alexandra and in my arrival I am told the system is down - it is understandable, but i still need help. The lady send me to Balfourpark and I went. When I get to Balfourpark and I ask for help I am told that no one is available to assist me. I spoke to the acting branch manager by the name of Jenny Matseke and she told me that I have to wait because the individual who supposed to assist me is on lunch. Really, on lunch and I have to wait? no one else can help me even though there are other employees in the branch. She asks me to wait for an hour on a workday.
Do I really have to suffer like this to access my savings? especially after they made me go up and down looking for bank statements and so on.
I'm really frustrated
