Cash shortage on deposit

When making a deposit on 4/12 2013 the teller told me that some banknotes were stuck in the counting machine. It was opvious she could not handle equipment even after supervisor Me Mini had to be called several times. Some notes were picked up from the floor. She informed me that one R20 and 5 R100 notes were short. I requested a recount of the R100 notes but informed it could not be done as they cpuld not open the machine to recover the stuck notes. The lady who could open the machine had left to collect her child at school and would only be back later. AS I had already been held up for so long I trusted Me Mini as she assured me the that they would rectify the deposited amount as soon as they opened the machine and would confirm telephonically. I accepted a deposit slip short of R520. No one called. So on 5/12/2013 I called Me Mini who informed me that above mentioned Teller was not at work that day and that the money had not been retrieved. I spoke to branch manager mr Olivier on 10th who said there was no mistake made by the bank so none wiould be rectified. I accept security cameras are available. I deposit daily at absa Carolina have never had a problem
