I made my policy paid up in April 2013 with Avbob as I have enough funeral policies. Due to a colleagues difficulties in claiming for his mothers funeral, I realised I needed to ask Avbob some questions regarding my paid up policy. One of the questions to Nikkie was what was the valued amount for my daughter that I paid all the years. I was told that when I made the policy paid up, her part of the policy fell away and I would not be able to claim for her if oneday needed. According to Nikkie " I lost all premiums paid for her". Can someone please explain this to me as when I added my daughter, my premiums went up, so surely there should be an amount on the policy available for her as well? Another question is why do you only pay out interest if a person cancell's the policy? This is the reason why I made it paid up and not surrendered. I would only have received R1800 for a policy that was
R12 000.
