I really feel that Budget insurance is taking me for a ride and they do not deliver what they advertise/promise. In December 2013 my samsung tv got damaged by lightning/or power surge and i reported to Budget insurance, the tv was taken for assessment and after days of me calling and following up on the progress i was told the assessing company says it is wear and tear and they do not cover wear and tear. I then disputed this because if the tv was damaged by wear and tear why does it conveniently stops working after a lightning storm? all tv's including computer screens show signs of wear and tear before they pack up. the call center agent (Constance Selepe) also told me the assessment could not be wrong because the assessor also took it to Samsung. I also spoke to the assessing company (Kevin Greaves services) trying to get the whole story and they assessed the tv themselves and did not take it to Samsung. I have taken my tv to a separate company for assessment and i was told plasma tv's have a life span of 5 years and i told them my tv is less than 5 years old and i was told that it is then hardware failure. Budget did not offer to seek additional assessment in this regard.
