I have a account i'm trying to close for nearly 5 months now because there is outstanding money they won't close it until it's paid in full, my problem is when i approached them there was an amount of R2400 (roughly speaking) so the lady told me in order to close it i will need to pay R692 for 4 months in order to get this account sorted and closed - but wait she also said after i asked her regarding the additional billings i'm seeing on my statement that there will NOT be any additonal charges unless there is a debit order going off? Guess what after me paying 3 of the 4 so far i'm sitting on R3180 again after the lady said there will not be any charges going off - I had a garage card i stopped on Febuary 2013 with the outstanding amount of 216.00 that Standard bank confirmed will be put on my current account - then what happens they keep on billing me 500 (limit) 3 times after i started paying off?
How can a bank not update their stupid system - i had to be harassed by their dept after i spoke to 4 people in total with me having to go in - AND still no resolution to it
I'm very frustrated!!
I sent another mail to them today - legal dept will get involve if not resolved soon.
