My neighbor's dog ate my phone. I have specified the phone and they rejected the claim. I was not responsible for the accident, and it was NOT my dog. I was never informed that any accident involving animals will not be covered. We are clients of M&F for /- 10 years and have had only 2 claims and it was not even big claims. The last claim was /- 4 year ago. We are trustworthy customers and my husband works on Absa and Standard banks panels for insurance claims. We know how people take chances with the insurance companies. my cellphone is on contract with MTN, and the phone is less than a year old. I do not have the money to replace the phone. MTN offered insurance with my contract, but I declined it, because we have always been happy with M&F, and I paid much more to insure our phones with M&F. MTN would have been a better choice!! This is a bad time for a claim, the M&F claim department is not very helpful to my broker.
