Talk about utter ignorance

At one time i though FNB was one of the banks that do try for their customers, oh they proved me wrong. I am one of those people who are calculative and i never miss anything or miscalculate. I applied for a Home loan with more than enough affordability by my calculations and their online calculators however when i actually applied for the Bond they came back to me with some ghost - R9000 that they call living expenses over and above my living expenses.

After an enquiry they tell me that their calculator is never wrong and these ghost living expenses are not negotiable.

How they can these be not negotiable when you can even tell me where these values came from, I have been with FNB for more than 20 years. I let the previous bond application decline slide, ABSA approved more than 100% of the bond with prime minus. Now i have another institution that approved my bond and FNB tells me that their calculations tells them that i cannot afford a house i know i can. 2 different institutions cannot see a different affordability.

Reason i am flipping complaining is that i have accounts everywhere and i wanted them centralised but obviously that is never gonna happen!!
