Debit order change date

Good day

SMS from African bank on the 9th of Dec. 11h13:Due to salary change dates debit orders deducted on the 13th of Dec.
I phoned on 10/12/2013 at 07h38 and spoke to Loraine. Explained to her that my salary will only be paid in on the 21st. She agreed to change the date for 23/12/2013.
Yesterday an amount was paid WRONGLY into my bank acc. My daughter locum at a company during Nov. and they wrongly paid her for Dec. After the sms for the deposit that was made I received a sms for the debit order from African Bank that went of. Now I don't have enough funds to refund the company.
I phoned this morning and spoke to Foster at African Bank. He saw my arrangement on the system for the 23rd but told me that although I phone on the 10th for the arrangement for the 23rd was to late? I received the sms on the 9th? I explained to him that I don't have enough funds now to repay the company. He told me
that I must fax him my bank statement and copy of ID to prove that it was another company that was paid into my bank account and not my salary or maybe a bonus before he can reverse the transaction. It this standard procedure? My agreed d/o date is for the 28th of each month.
