I have been insured with Gsure underwritten by Quicksure for almost two years now without missing a single payment. My insurance is R953.00 per month. This is VERY competitive as the closest insurance quote I could find was R1200.00 per month and I commend them for this!
On the 28th of November a really bad hailstorm came through the Westrand.
My car got really badly damaged.
The quote I received from North City Panel Beaters who has done repairs in the past was R41016.72.
This was given through to my insurance.
Quicksure said the damage was a mere R23749.42.
My questions follow:
- How does Quicksure/ARC manage to drop the damage on vehicle by close to 42%?
- How can authorization be given to fix the vehicle, if I, the client have not given the go ahead?
- How can second hand parts be used on the vehicle and why can't I be given a clear answer on why?
I now had to cancel my holiday because my vehicle still doesn't have a back window and the seats have started to give of a horrible rotten smell, A piece of plastic held down by buff tape only keeps out so much water.
I am now considering on changing my Insurance and going to someone who can insure me properly.
