I had a call to my insurer earlier today to get a cheaper quote. I was told because I'm single I'm a higher risk and my premium is higer. They completely disregarded the fact that I'm an only parent.
I decided to request a few quotes from other insurers to see if this is true. I requested a call centre consultant to phone me online from First for Women and within an hour I received the call from Shaheed.
He was efficient, friendly and clearly knows his employer and the products they offer. He didnt try to sell me on anything unnecessary and tried his best to provide me with the best insurance package. He also assured me that they did take into account the fact that I'm a single mom, since this would lower my risk profile.
In total he quoted me a smaller premium than my existing premium for MORE cover.
THIS is what I call bending backwards. Not the service I received before.
Thank you for making this process so much less painful than what it could be.
