I have been given shocking and poor advise from day 1 from de Vere Africa trading under the name of deVere Investments South Africa (Pty) Ltd, based in Cape Town, Authorised Financial Service Provider (FSP: 23719)
I was targeted by them, as an expat from the UK, in there cold calling approach to move my Pension from the UK to an offshore platform. I was told the benefits would be huge. I have simply incurred fees for the last few years and in fact my pension has decreased by some 4K. To add insult to the situation my portfolio was for some unknown reason structured primarily in Cash which will clearly never grow.
I instructed 2 Financial Advisors to amend my investments and policies from cash funds to proper equity risk that reflects my position as an investor. This was not carried out. This I only found out some 6 months later meaning of have made no money or growth which I would have done had my instructions been carried out.
After numerous emails and complaints nothing has been done and I have been left no option but to take to your platform to express my concerns and grievances with this company. I will be following this up with a report to the FSB in South Africa.
