I have a policy with PPS who is underwritten by Hollard and their Claims department (Exiliti Services) is dodging paying out a claim fairly. They have been sent proof of mileage with in the last year, but refuse to take into account this figure and are essentially defrauding their policyholders.
I had to do my own homework and get a quote from Transunion to see what my vehicle was worth to protect myself against this sort of. They refuse to take into account the mileage documented and supplied, or any reasonable mileage for the claim.
Also, they claim to pay out "Retail", but the cheapest quote on any retail price for an exact replacement is R15000 short of what they are willing to pay. They also are not willing to clearly define the discrepancy between the replacement Retail value and their low ball claims payout.
The above will be submitted to the STI Ombudsman for further adjudication.
If anyone is insured with PPS or Hollard... Get out and find a better provider!!
