Most non-human people I have dealt with in my life

My most recent experience with Absa motivates and verifies the reason why I will never in my life bank with them. My fianc? on the other hand use to bank with Absa, wish I changed his mind in switching banks.
My fianc? Armand was involved in a motorcycle accident on the 15th March 2013 and tragically passed away on the 17th of March 2013. Armand use to get paid weekly and at the time of the accident Armand still had money in his account, which I then had to draw to use, after all it was the middle of the month and the weekly salary helped.By the Sunday Armand passed away in the morning hours and at first I didn't think of anything let alone the bank account. About a month ago I did a claim on Armand's bank account for the funeral cost as there was a flexi account with a R2000.00 benefit cover. I was then told that at the time of Armand's pass away there was no money in the account and that the account hasn't been used for so long. Why the would I want to use Armand's account, first of all and surely it's understandable that I had to use the money in the account at the time and proceedings.
So sad that a bank institution just shows you the door.
