Nedbank Homeloans) recently sent me some unsolicitied SMSs. Since I've never dealt with Nedbank, I wanted to know how they got my details. On 1 November, I submitted a complaint (FI1776554) asking them how they got my details, as I assumed Nedbank wouldn't only use opt-in lists, not dodgy spam lists.
The pointed me to a company called Information Capital as the source of their lists. On contacting them, I was told that they (Information Capital) are not a supplier of leads to Nedbank.
A week ago I asked Nedbank to clarify this and let me know the the real source of their leads. No response so far. Something is rotten in the state of Denmark.
