Hello Petter,
I recieved this letter today from First for Women Insurance - with regards to a 10% increase - this is fine i totally understand that things should increase - this is not my problem. The problem is the letter states:
"When it comes to cover for other items, certain measures have been put in place to assist you. To help protect you against the risk of underinsurance we have applied a 10% increase to the insured value of all home contents and portable possessions and a 10% increase to all buildings policies."
What they have done tho is pushed my excess on my car up from R3600 to R9200 - this isnt in the letter how many people are the catching.
I have never claimed from them, never had a pay out and this is how they look after "Women" their whole add campaign is about women being done in and how they will protect us! Sure how are they protecting me now!
I called and they said they can change the excess but my premium will sky rocket - then it isn't 10% is it??? Then I asked to speak to a supervisor they ask if the could take a message!
How many women have not read the small print where they have bumped up the excess???
Regards - Sarah Hargreaves
