I had a business account with Nedbank, and when I closed down the business I closed the bank account too. Nedbank however kept accruing expenses against the business account (which was closed), so they just debited my personal bank account with those expenses!
When I got fed up with that, I closed my personal bank account and received confirmation that it was closed. Shortly afterwards I was told that my account was overdrawn and I was asked to rectify the situation. When I replied that the account had been closed, I was told that they had opened it again!!!
So now, my business account that was closed in September is accumulating expenses that are being billed to my personal account that I closed in November, which isn't closed now in December!!!
What a joke; I will be referring this matter to the banking Ombudsman.
