I am glad to see that I am not the only one going through the same thing with ABSA and to date the account has still not been closed.
I completely agree with a statement made where why must we be liable for their incompetence I have spoken to a number of different employees at ABSA, all stating that the account will be closed but no joy.
Very disappointed with ABSA they are quick to chase you for money but when paying up an account in full and having on going issues for 2 months that is not on... I can only hope that mine will be sorted out as well... but who knows in what time frame
The most frustrating part is that you can receive a number of calls from employees of ABSA in just one day having to explain the situation 20x and not one of these employees will follow up or sort the query out after promising they will.
