Temporary reduction on payment

In August I applied for a temporary reduction on my Home Loan as I went on pension. I waited about a month, in total, for an answer only to be told it was declined because they needed other documents. I duly supplied the documents only to be told that I had to use the prescribed form, which I did. After about a week I as told that it was once again declined due to the fact that I can't afford to pay the reduced figure. My question to Absa is if I can't afford the reduced amount how am I supposed to afford the full amount? I have asked them this question about five times over the phone and via e-mail and get no reply. Where is the service they offer to HELP the customet when they have a problem?
