Standard Bank
Standard Bank helps

Whilst loading payments for my client on Standard bank Business On Line - I erroneously pressed a comma instead of a full stop - thus creating a payment of 111 821 instead of 1118.21. Within a minute of the payment being released, I phone their on line recall division, had the form completed and signed and emailed back to them within a 15 minute period. the payment was made to Siza Water. Copies of the account of what the actual payment was supposed to be, as well as the proof of payment were sent to Standard bank and Siza Water. That was on Monday - today - four days later - we are advised that FNB - who is Siza Water's account holder has declined to refund our money with no reason on any level??!!! So firstly - what happened to being able to put a stop payment of a payment made in error with your own bankers - and how dare Siza Water and FNB just say no to us recalling the funds? One has to wonder who stands to gain what by not returning the funds to the company - and why did it take 4 days to resolve a simple request.
