I telephonically agreed to a Debt Protection Plan for my credit card
I went to an FNB branch to cancel it because I simply cannot handle call centres
Ironically the lovely branch lady could not do it manually she needed to call in to the call centre to cancel on my behalf
For the next HOUR and a HALF!! we were passed from one department to the next: credit card to life to credit card to life and back and forth. Always a different ridiculous story.
No one knows how to cancel this plan at FNB, no one. Eventually I had to leave since my lunch hour was over. So I am still paying for something I don't want.
I have several issues that need to be addressed
1. Why cant I be assisted in a branch any longer with my requests?
2. How is it conceivable that I can be signed up telephonically but I cannot cancel telephonically?!?
3. How is it that NO ONE at FNB knows how to cancel this policy? This is a huge concern since something so simple is mind boggling.
I was also about to move my cheque account to FNB. No thanks, not anymore. And my colleague and fiance have also decided to remain with their current backs.
