Internet, bank won't take responsibility

My account was hacked into 31st Oct 2013 of which R8700 was taken. I reported the case to southgate branch and I was allocated a reference number. I was promised a call back with 24hrs and then a further call back within 3 days and another within 5 days. Not 1 call was made to me. During the 31st Oct 2013 and 11 Nov 2013, I went to the bank 3 times to follow up. The 11 Nov 2013 I visited them again pushed from pillar to post to finally advised that the case was with forensics of which has been closed. I was never informed of the process and finally still my money is gone. I trusted capitec to keep it safe for me and here they have lost it without remorse or consideration. I am a single mom of a 2 year old and rely on every income that I make. Capitec has mistreated me in that they couldn't even for one second contact me. They have violated the banking code of practice in that they did not assume responsibility in keeping me informed and finally letting my hartd earned money dissappear. R8700 is a large sum for me and I have needs to meet. Capitec has been cold, non apologetic and nonchalant as I visited threee branches trying to get this solved. My hope in the Ombudman
