Words cannot describe how badly iv been treated by Standard Bank northgate branch..Its like something out of a movie. I had a business deal with partners which required funding for some agricultural land in the northwest province. Needless to say its taken 9 weeks and counting to get some help. 4 weeks to OPEN a business account, 2 WEEKS to receive feedback from credit who subsequently said they need to send someone to look at the land... ITS TAKEN 4 WEEKS FOR AN APPOINTMENT TO BE MADE JUST TO SEE THE FARM. Worst part of it all is Standard Bank keeps confirming an appointment date then I have to chase after them on the day because nothing happens. Iv made complaints directly about this, and unbelievably I have been nothing came of it, EVEN AFTER MEETING WITH THE BUSINESS BANKERS MANAGER!!!..not only this my business banker gave me the wrong reference number in an obvious attempt to avoid trouble. Needless to say my business partners have lost confidence in me and the deal and have decided to pull out. Do not EVER consider Standard Bank for any business transaction, chances are you will regret it. Unprofessional, disgusting service... I will look to move all my other bsiness acc!!
