I am making an official complaint against Wonga as directed by the Financial Services Board and the Office of the Ombus for Financial Services Providers. Should i receive no response or invalid response from Wonga, a formal grievance will be forwarded to both the afore-mentiopned institutions. I have an loan with Wonga which is in arrears, the original amount is R 2, 208-81, since then i have paid an amount of R500, and the amount went down to approximately R 1900, as i monitor my balance on the website, in August Wonga made two ddeductions of R 500-00 so i paid R 1000-00 end of August 2013 and i again visited my profile to view my account summary and my balance had been updated, it had gone down to R 1, 400-00, now in September they did not deduct anything. Now this morning this very arrogant male, who identified himself as a Lawyer representing Wonga stormed up at my work, i kindly gave him a good five minutes to brief me and he threatened to garnish me if i dont sign the papers stipulating that i need to pay an amount of R 2750-00 i refused and asked if he was threatening me he replied that he's just telling me that he will garbnish me even though i infomed him of my balance.
