I, as a private seller of my vehicle, was put through such a long winded UNNECESSARY admin process of supplying doc after doc to assist in the buyer's raising of finance for the vehicle. Whilst I did not mind providing the standard info such as reg doc, id, Natis doc etc. I was then asked to prove how I raised the money in the first place to purchase the car myself! and that was offensive after I have proven that the car was paid in cash and is legally mine! It proved too much for both myself and buyer that we just called it quits. The prospective buyer also incurred admin costs that will not be recovered. I have lost out on other prospective cash buyers because of this. What a waste of time!
