I am banking with Standard Bank for over 30 years. I am currently outside South Africa and discovered that someone has emptied my current account through easypay. 8 transactions consecutive till there were nothing left. A total of R18000 was taken.
I called the bank and they put me trough to the department that registered my complaint. then they said they will come back to me in 10 days. I explained to them that I am not in South Africa and that I need this resolved urgently as I need money and I have some debit orders that have to go through on this account. They were not the least interested in helping me. I asked to speak to a supervisor or manager. No, Sorry he is busy but was promised that he will phone me back a soon as he is finished with his call. 8 hours later and no call back yet.
I also send a secure messages but also no responds.
Is this the type of service that you can expect from Standard Bank?
