Extremely Disappointing Service

Applied for a home loan on 27/9/13. Received a call on 30/9/13 requesting documentation, duly sent on same day. Check on self help call line on 3/10/13 as online tracking app does not work and electronic voice says loan granted! Yay, not. Call later that day to find out why no contact has been made by Standard Bank if the e menu says Granted, get told there will be contact by somebody, sometime tomorrow or next week. Further, only 60% of the loan amount is granted! The e menu makes no mention of this. I further get asked if this is for vacant land! Why? Did Standard Bank not assess the property? FYI, the land was sold 5 yrs ago for 480k and presently Standard Bank values the same land with a 4 bed 3 bath home on it at 562k! Oh, did I mention the spectacular sea views. Makes me think 'Steve' was handling the process. Oh well, first order of business this weekend should be to find 'Steve's' opposing bank I think. This after being a loyal customer of over 15 years.
