My bond with ABSA was recently cancelled. Of a total bond of R250000, of which I paid several years the total outstanding bond upon cancellation amounted to almost R291000. How is this possible that I have to pay R41000 more on this bond than what I originally owed??? I had to sell the property to due financial difficulty but I now how to actually pay in more than R16000! This is ridiculous and no one can give me an answer as to how the calculation was made and the amount reached.
