I was granted my house, in a court order and for almost a year, have been attempting to remove my ex wife's name from the bond and have the bond in my name only.
I have contacted various people at ABSA and have been redirected to various people that have no clue. You do also not get to speak to a decision maker, regarding the matter.
My ex-wife lived in the house and was also co-owner. She did not pay the bond and there was an outstanding amount of R45000.
When I was granted the court order, I moved back, got the bond up to date and kept all bond repayments up to date. ABSA now refuse to change the bond to my name only, although I am the only one making the regular payments and stand a chance to lose the house.
I am very unhappy with ABSA, as I have been paying this bond for more than 10 years and now stand a chance of losing everything, due to their lack of understanding.
