Oct 11 brought car & Motorite policy on the 2nd service oil was (Sweat was the word Jaguar used) on the g/box sump. Jag torqued up the bolts and gave the car a clean bill of health. An intermittent g/box fault light appeared. The problem was not clear enough to identify the problem. On my last service it was identified by a code diagnosed to be the valve body. inside the g/box. Motorite kept going back to an oil leak that I did not have. Motoirte sent a questionnaire to Jag and Jag answered all their questions explaining the car never had an oil leak.. Having proved the oil leak was a smoke screen Motorites response was that if we cannot get you on an oil leak then in their words "based on the information received the claim does not fall within the ambit of the warranty'In In their policy document paragraph 17 under Transmission-Automatic Vehicle s: All internally lubricated components, transmission casing (only if damaged by a covered component). Is this valve body not a lubricated internal part of the transmission? Please explain your logic behind your decision! Instead of" it does not fall under the ambit of my warranty"; WHY
