Encashment Endowment Plan

Some years back, my mother took out two endowment plans, one for each of my sons. All fair and well and each month the premiums went off her banking account by means of debit order. And then earlier this year, I think it was, these plans matured with the option to continue the investment or to encash. That decision was left to my sons as my mother would not want to continue with the premiums. And so a whole rigamarole of providing the necessary documentation was undertaken.

That in itself was quite an undertaking. First of all to get through to the appropriate contact to find out what is required was an exercise in patience. But not unexpected. They even went through to the offices earlier this year. And all the documentation originally specified has been signed and submitted. ID copies, bank details, utility accounts, formal letters of request.etc.. And then my mother receives an sms message yesterday with a threat that the premiums are not being paid and the policies are at risk of lapsing.

I have emails of the documentation which was sent in April and quite honestly, I dont know what more my old mother and young sons need to do to get this thing finalised.
