In July I decided to do a comparison of my insurance.
I got several quotes ( -R850) all way under my current rate from Miway (R1167.55). Having experienced good service from them in the past I decided to ask them to quote me against the new quotations.
They could not beat the quotes (offered R945.54) but due to their service and having been with them since 2011 I decided to stay with them.
74 days later I get an email with a revised premium that is 16% (R1097.09) higher than what we agreed in July (when inflation is just over 6%). So yet again I call them to find out why my premium is being increased when a new premium was agreened on 74 days prior. The feedback I am given is i have been discounted the maximum I can be and therefore the premium is as low as it can be.
If this is not sorted out I will have no choice to but leave Miway and recomend to all my friends and family that Miway will just increase premiums buy as much as they want when ever they feel like it.
