My mother worked for 35 years and eventually retired in 2009. Old Mutual sent one of their agents Mrs Bester to discuss her retirement fund that was with the government, long story short, she decided that she wanted to invest her pension fund with Old Mutual instead of keeping it with the government as she really had a lot of faith in Old Mutual, the money was transferred! My mother was told that Old Mutual has a 5year investment and that it would be a good idea that my mom invests in that too, my Mom agreed and another transfer was done for that 5year investment. Its been 5 years and now Old Mutual says they never received the amount (even though we have all the corresponding docs) and that the lady no longer works with them and that they cannot be held accountable for that. I'm struggling to understand how Old Mutual is distancing themselves from this 5year investment, yet it was their consultant who defrauded my mom. They say this lady defrauded my mom with the 2nd transaction and its not their problem.
You happy to take money but when we want answers we hit a brick wall each time.
Disgusted doesn't even begin to describe it, take responsibility!!
