I invested R450 000 with Old Mutual from my late husband provident fund with the hope of getting monthly interest for me to survive with my kids as I am not working. Mrs Desai the financial adviser at Old Mutual Durban advised me to take a 5 Year investment because it got good returns. Now I want to withdraw they saying the money is locked I cant either cancel the investment or withdraw any money till 2017.Now I am in debts I am about to loose my house my name has been blacklisted my older daughter is no longer going to school. I am surviving on food parcels from the government. My in-laws are blaming me I used the money with other men. When I want to take a loan from bank and my investment as surety Old Mutual is refusing saying the investment is locked. I don't have money to pay lawyers to help me.
