Last Thursday I was phoned by Standard bank because of a late debit order. I explained the situation and the lady who helped me was understanding and we made set arrangements for the money to go off my account on Friday, 06/09/2013... Today (10/09/2013) I was phoned by standard bank again and I dealt with a very rude gentleman. He ignored half of what I said and told me that money can't be taken off my overdraft and so forth. He further then told me that I have to go into the bank either today or before 12 tomorrow to make the payment. This contradicts all arrangements made on 06/09/2013. If the situation was set right from the start, this problem would not have occurred. Dealing with rude and inexperienced people is going to make me move to a different bank. I am very disappointed in standard bank, considering I hav3 been with them for quite a few years.
