On Wednesday the 28 August at about 15h00 me and my wife visited the FNB Trade Route Mall Branch to cash out a R1000 CASH CHEQUE. I presented the Cash Cheque to the Teller who then asked for my ID. She processed the cheque and requested that I signed it at the back which I did and write my cell number. After a few seconds she asked whether I signed the cheque as the account holder answered negative. She then said that the cheque's signatures are not the same and she wont cash the cheque unless I tell who signed the cheque. I explained to her that the said Cheque was presented to me by Mr Mike from Formula Autos Car Dealers from Cape Town as she can see on the Cheque and I am not the Account Holder nor the Car Dealer, I purchased a Car from them and the Cheque was paid to fix some defects on the purchased car. I would not know what signature to compare to. She through the cheque back at me and said she wont cash it, they know people like me. I told her that I take an exception of such comments and asked whether she cannot confirm with the relevant account holder Mr Mike she refused. and none of the Management Team assisted. Skin color counts @ FNB.
