Virgin Money have been taking me for a ride for over a month on a credit card application. I am a foreign person residing in South Africa, who applied for a credit card. This was approved a month ago. Virgin Money however made a spelling mistake on my surname and would not agree to deliver my card although this was a mistake from their side. No one called me to let me know to rectify this problem.

After calling them for a number of weeks, Virgin Money finally advised me to change my details at an ABSA bank. This was successfully done in a matter of minutes. I then had to call them again for a number of days before they finally advised me that I would get the card within the week.

The courier company called me to arrange delivery and told me that they would not deliver my card unless I produce a South African ID. Why would Virgin Money approve my card in the first place if they knew I am on a passport? This is really unacceptable how they have no regard whatsoever for their customers. Foreign or not foreign we all have the same consumer rights. Please Virgin Money if you do not issue cards to foreign citizens state in bold in all your publicans so we don't bother calling.
