I have been called EVERYDAY at LEAST once a day from the Standard Bank Credit Rehabilitation Centre. My cheque account with Standard Bank was CLOSED on the 12th July 2013 after I paid whatever was overdrawn in FULL and signing the relevant documents with a consultant. Since then I have been receiving calls EVERYDAY to tell me I have to pay an outstanding amount on my cheque account. On a Friday EVENING (15 August 2013) I was called and a woman actually ARGUED with me that I did NOT close my cheque account and REFUSED to double check and fix the situation. I hung up on her, furious! I went into the Canal Walk branch on the 16th August 2013 and I was assured by a consulrant, Justin, that my cheque account was in fact CLOSED. The only problem he could see was a temporary debit order which didn't go off because it was not run by Standard Bank. Arrangements were made. I told him about the calls and he called the relevant department and they assured me I would no longer receive any calls. It is now 23 August 2013. I have still received phone calls EVERYDAY since I was in the bank from agents telling me to pay my cheque account. I am 6 months pregnant and STRESSED by this! FIX IT!
