I sat in with my sons meeting today with the assessors from Outsurance as I am also a client of this company. They were 1 hour late for the appointment they made with my son. Pathetic reasons were given for being late and wasting an hour of our time. Court like proceedings unfolded to now assess what transpired. Some empty boxes produced of goods were not accepted as proof of ownership because of my son possibly taking wrong advise from other people wrt his claim. Continuous cross examination over certain items with a story told of a visit yesterday to Sasolburg where a person buckled under their pressure to admit that their claim was overinflated. A constant reminder during the ridiculous 5 hour interrogation of the possibility of a repudiation of the claim, cancellation of the insurance and potentially not being insured again.
I got the distinct feeling that they had pre determined a negative outcome of this "interrogation". I also got the impression that they were working on reaching some sort of target they have to make. Almost wanting my son to say that he had, because they now did not know how they were going to file their report. Outsurance, I think not for me!
