I have been with Absa for over 8 years. I have had 2 personal loans with them (maybe even 3), I have also had a bond which they are going to be paid back with penalty interest. I understand that and dont have a complaint.
But Absa has really been useless lately. I earn -R20K per month. They wont let me have a cheque account and now have been declined a bond of R 450K. Is this how Absa treats their loyal clients?
At Bramley branch, when I applied for the cheque account I got told I had 2 judgements against me. The consultant there told me to bring my proof of payments & then she will be able to change my account. When going back with the proof of payments & letters to confirm payment in full to open a cheque account & apply for the bond, the consultant wouldn't even touch my documents. She just kept saying "You are declined" - nice service & going the extra mile!!!
Then I went to Greenstone Mall branch, there I had Edward (the best consultant I have ever met) & Peter going out of their way to assist me.
But due to credit department, I had to wait over 3 weeks to hear about my bond application.1 day before the expired date on the bond I got a email that I have been declined.
