I have been trying to get FNB to switch over my debit orders from ABSA for the last month and a half, with no success. Everytime I go in, its the same procedure: Bring in my statements marking the debit orders, they "fax" it off to another number. And everytime I go in again, asking how far my request is, the reply is the same: "They never faxed it off". The first visit to FNB was at N1 City Mall, and the other 3 visits to FNB Paarl. Now I'm getting a little bit upset here, as I already had to pay bank charges at ABSA, because the debit orders went off, with my salary already switched over. (I had to deposit money back into my ABSA Account) I'm expecting another call from ABSA at the end of January, telling me to pay in money for my debit orders... It's easy for them to advertise that you must switch, but why is FNB so bad with service??!! I think that maybe I should've stayed with ABSA, as I never had problems with them (Except higher fees). You get bad service everywhere, and now FNB fall under that category...
