We applied for Further bond since beginning of in May, and to date our Bond has still not registered.
Olivier and O'Connor Attorneys, advised they did receive the instructions from the Bank to attend to our bond registration, and the following emerged:
- Attorneys are located in Mulbarton, which is far for us to go and sign the documents. Advised the Bank.- Instructions send to attorneys were incorrect, Property descriptions wrong, attorneys returned to the Bank to be amended.-Request, Property be registered for Full value. We advised the attorneys, of our challenges to travel to Mulbarton, they decided they will rather come to us and we could sign. On 18th July, we met with the attorneys and signed the amended documents, we realised, Registered amount is not amended. meanwhile, Standard Bank send their assessor to do a valuation. Valuation was done on the 19th July, Assessor, put conditions that 2x fire doors between living area and garages are to be met before attorneys can proceed with registration. How do we meet those conditions if our bond registration is withheld? Clearly we need money from Bank to finish with our renovations hence we applied for Bond and Bank is denying us.
