Standard Bank
Short changed at ATM!

Six weeks ago I posted the following complaint. "Several weeks after reporting to the Standard Bank's Tyger Manor branch that as a pensioner I had been short-changed by an ATM in Aurora, Durbanville of R50 (I'd key'd in R500 and received 3 x R100 and 3 x R50 notes) I was told in a polite call from Johannesburg (their ref no: 34237469) that my complaint had been rejected. I'd been alone at the ATM and only I know what my slip read and what had come from the machine. Standing in front of the ATM I'd checked the notes twice, then once more in the parking area. There was no mistake. I was short of R50. Bottom line: the ATM's mechanical innards mugged me and the Standard Bank doesn't believe my version. Bad cred. My loss. Sour taste."... It's now the end of July and still no word from the Bank on this - no peep from them. So the sour taste remains. My word seems to be tainted - the implication is clear, in their opinion I . How often do people experience this?
