I purchased a Samsung Galaxy S4 through FNB. The phone would randomly crash and, 5 days after I received it I alerted FNB to the issue and received such a stupid response I decided to return the device for a full refund.
However, before handing over the device I wanted FNB to confirm that the cancellation would be processed rather than a replacement device sent to me a few weeks later.
FNB would never commit to honoring the return until eventually I was told:
"Unfortunately as you delayed this by not giving the device back within the required time, it fell out of the 7 working day period."
This shows an absolute perversion of the CPA and an abuse of the processes meant to protect customers.
My advice: Don't bank with them and certainly don't buy a device through them.
