UNISA ABSA account closed but payment not refunded

I made payment to the old UNISA ABSA account 4048746711 which has according to UNISA been officially closed. Unfortunately I only became aware of this when my payment to UNISA was not registered. A payment to a closed bank acount should be refunded to the paying bank account. This has NOT happened, which is unethical and possibly illegal and I will be contacting the banking ombusdsman in this regard.

I made payment of R1180.00 on 04/07/2013 and have as yet received no refund from ABSA.
