ABSA affected my perfect credit record

I currently only have an ABSA gold credit card - after having closed all my other ABSA accounts due to the extremely poor service and difficulty dealing with ABSA after being with them for quite some time.

Today I went to apply for a personal loan at FNB only to find out ABSA had listed me as a slow payer on ITC. This has serverly affected my previously excellent credit record. Now I did explain to the consultants on one or two occasions that when I do a payment it might be a bit late on occasion but when I pay its usually double or more than is required in order to cover the next month. This has never been taken into account and as a result ive been listed as a slow payer and ive been told theres no way to correct this even if I settle and close my account.

ITC has told me that ABSA needs to contact them to state it was a mistake on their part in order to correct historical data but ABSA refuses to do this.

Its no wonder why many clients are leaving absa. Absa should change their slogan to today, tomorrow then close your account.
