Exorbitant Charge

I was charged R103.00 fee for paying my credit car with a cheque.

I knew that they charge a fee if you pay cash & therefore have paid with an EFT or cheque in the past.

This time I didn't make the EFT as the due date was Monday & if I would've done it over the weekend, it would have only reflected on Tuesday.

I therefore went into FNB (Discovery Card Bank) and wrote out a cheque.

Their response was that they sent out an E Mail stating that there was going to be fees for cheques & therefore they are charging this R103.00.

I feel this is so wrong as I have to pay so much extra for paying my card on time!
